Am I gonna run into any issues connecting a USB 2.0 hub to my PC that only has 3.0 and 3.1 entries?

Whatever is connected to the hub is seen at USB 2.0 performance.

For faster data transfer, it’s better to use a usb 3.0 hub , what i used is cenmate powered usb 3.0 hub
