Hi There...

I am having a weird problem with this Gigabyte Motherboard I bought just 4 days ago.

Here's my New System:
CPU - Intel i7 4760k
MB - Gigabyte Z97x-UD5h Black Edition
RAM - 16GB Kingston HyperX Fury 1866Mhz
Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212x
PSU - Corsair CS750M
Case - Corsair Obsidian 550d

I installed all the Motherboard Drivers after installing Windows 8.1. Then I tried to connect my Lenovo (Android 4.4) Smart Phone. As soon as I try to connect it, phone starts making Sounds of Connecting and Disconnecting continuously (5-10 times a Second), showing message, "USB Computer Connected" constantly again and again.

I thought it's front port problem, so I connected it to the back panel USB 2.0 port, again same problem. Computer shows no notifications at all. Other devices such as Pen Drives, Card Readers, and Keyboard/Mouse Combo have no problems at all. And the Phone also has no connection problems with my old PC.

Please let me know what is wrong with either Motherboard or the Smart Phone. Thanks! :)

Solution
think it's from your phone USB wire. when you plug it into the charger and into the computer try pushing down the wire on the phone alittle and see if it works or try pushing up where usb wire is connected to the phone. mess around the phone charger area where the usb is connected and see if you hold it in 1 position to see if it will work

Thanks for the reply... :) I have tried that too. As I said, the phone with same USB cable works very well on my other PC. It starts charging, also shows phone storage immediately, and never disconnects.

Tried another cable, still same problem. Is there anything to do with 'ESD Protection' technology?

Gigabyte Website explains it this way:
GIGABYTE 9 Series motherboards raise the bar in terms of protecting your system, providing advanced electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection for both your Ethernet LAN and USB ports, both common sources of ESD-related failures. Each LAN and USB port is paired with a dedicated protection filter that can withstand high electrostatic discharges, protecting your system from common electrical surges and even direct lighting strikes.
