USB 3.0 Flash Drive

I just ordered a 3.0 usb flash drive from Newegg
sadly, my usb 3.0 ports are in the back of the pc
can any usb extension cable work with 3.0, or do i need to get a different cable?

would think you might need a usb 3.0 extension rather than 2.0

though not tried so not 100% sure

You would need a USB 3.0 extension cable as the new version has more connector pins as well as more wires in the cable than USB 2.0
