i am having dell inspiron n5110 laptop. my right side and rear usb 3.0 ports are not working...they seems all dead. i format windows 3 times ...first win 7 then again win 7 64 bit...now win 8.1 pro.....still the problem remains to be same...i contacted dell...they are asking me to see a local technician coz dell diagnostic utility shows no problem with hardware...i tried updating drivers. i tried power management..i tried uninstalling usb controllers from device manager and then rebooting...still problem remains same...i did rerest bios to default after problem even then nothing changed. usb is enabled in bios...also after installing renseas 3.0 drivers or nec 3.0 drivers it tells USB 3.0 host controller not found...i tried fresco logic usb 3.0 drivers too....please help...i spent my hours and hours...

Hi I'm having the problem with 1520 RE SE.. i have 4x 3.0 usb hubs and they started to disconnect - and reconnect again with my soundcard and usb hub but now they simply don't recognize anything anaymore... one of the 3x USB Root Hubs (xHCI) says this:
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
The USB hub failed to reset.
but there aint no solution to this problem nowhere...
any ideas?

the driver you shoud get is an old one.very hard to find...the normal one that you have now (seem not working) is this:R309746 .you should look for this one:R266197 .I had your problem myself and it's solved now.instal the second driver and you'll be fine
