Last year, my Ethernet port on my mobo just blew on me. I bought an USB 3.0 to Ethernet for $30 at Best Buy. It works well, except when I livestream. When I livestream, all goes well until I turn on my webcam. As soon as I use my webcam, try to upload a video, or anything that requires a high amount of internet, it disconnects and reconnects when it feels like doing so. This has been going on since I got it, but I have been ignoring it. Enough is enough. Has this happened to anyone else?

Solution
Try this. Boot your system and immediately feel the ethernet adapter. Work as you normally do but keep feeling the adapter.

See if it gets warmer and even hotter.

Over time the heating and cooling process may have degraded the adapter. And now the heavy loads are just too much for it.

You might try putting the adapter on the end of a USB 3.0 extension cable and then move the adapter out away from the PC where the adapter may stay cooler longer.

Heat is an enemy of electronics and most devices are made as cheaply as possible. Which means they breakdown/degrade even faster.

Have had a couple of wireless USB adapters do the same - just a matter of time for the ethernet adapters to maybe follow suit.

The other option is to...

The other option is to reinstall and/or upgrade the adapter's drivers via the manufacturer. May no longer be up to par with respect to the OS and other software being used.
