USB devices randomly disconnect and pc randomly restarts

Hi all,

My dad's pc has had a couple of issues for a while. One, his pc often gives him a BSOD mid work (he doesn't recall the error), and two, all USB devices that are connected to it just randomly disconnect and reconnect (he said sometimes driver issues pop up). I tried installing a fresh copy of windows, checking for loose connections on the motherboard, updating the bios/drivers, pretty much everything that came to my mind without success.

It seems as though disconnecting the speakers causes this issue to happen a bit less often.

PC specs: fx-6300, Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3, gtx-750ti, 12 gb ddr3 ram 1600mhz (I think)

Are you using Windows 10 and what is the revision number of the motherboard? Revision 4.1 does not support Windows 10.

Sorry for the late reply, I was going through finals. The mobo is rev5.0, but he's using windows 8 regardless.

What is the power supply and is it a good quality? Is the inside of the machine accumulating dust and dirt?

He's got a 400W EVGA bronze rated PSU. There is a bit of dust, but the pc has got plenty of fans and I usually clean it every once in a while. This issue has been happening for a while (I swapped out his case for a bigger one, and the issue never went away).
