USB File Transfer Cables

I'm thinking of buying a BAFO Tech BF-100C Direct-LinQ USB File Transfer cable for $18 to transfer some files from my old computer to my new computer. Has anyone used one of these? Do they work as advertised?

I haven't used it but if both the comps have nic's why don't u use a crossover cable?

for a one time transfer it should be ok but otherwise its to slow... 1mb/s is really slow....

If both computers have an ethernet port, use a crossover cable. Otherwise go ahead and use the USB cable (I never used a USB trasfer cable but back in the day I used a serial transfer cable). The only issue is speed, but like someone said above, for a one time deal you can put up with it.

What do u mean 1mbps?
It's just the same as the straight through(normal) cat5 cable. It gives u 100 mbps
