USB headset or sound card

Hi there.

I've got a sound blaster pro sound card. Would I get better sounds out of using usb 7.1 headset instead of my sound card.

I thinking of buying Sennheiser game1 or go for the sennheiser pc363d but not sure if it's a bit of a gimmick with 7.1

If you've got a new motherboard, there's a fair chance the sound out will be as good as a low end sound card.

But what about the 7.1 headsets are they any good or better than me using headphones

Most 7.1 headphones just use 7.1 emulation. There's not a sub-woofer and 3 speakers in each earpiece.

Sorta like a 5.1 home theatre that you're just playing a DVD or CD on. Its stereo turned into emulated 5.1.
