Hello,

The usb was already bootable with older version of windows 10 and i needed a newer one.So i formatted the usb and used rufus to make it bootable again. However now the usb is not recognized and i cant access it.I tried on different computers with the same result.
I used DISKPART and a lot of different tools that other people suggested but it does't show there also.It also heats up in less than a minute when plugged in.
I read on a forum somewhere that you can't make a bootable usb twice,so i don't know if that's the case or not. I'm not the most experienced in this area so i could use all the help i could get.
Thanks

Naturally we're assuming you're working with a non-defective flash drive. If there are problems with the flash drive all bets are off, capiche?

Why don't you give Microsoft's Win 10 Media Creation Tool a shot at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

We've used that device to install a few dozen Win 10 installations with no problems at all. And we've used at least a half-dozen or so of different USB flash drives in the process.

I'm aware many users prefer to use rufus but we've never found any reason to do so. And since you're experiencing problems with that software try the Windows Media Tool since there's nothing to lose.

Whoever said that is wrong. It sounds faulty to me. Buy another one

The USB was working properly to that point so,I thought that maybe rufus didn't properly re-write the usb and somehow that made it unusable. I haven't used it before.I always use daemon tools for this and i didn't have any problems with it.Anyway, new usb is probably the way to go.I just wanted to know what happened with this one :)
