USB port not working

I have an Asus z97i-Plus and a Rosewill Legacy W1. The case has two USB 3.0 ports on the side that are plugged into a single header. One port works, but the other doesn't. I wish I could give more information, but I don't really know what else to say or what to do. Help?

Both of them are on sane controller so it could be anything, from bad contacts to broken wire, did both of them work at any time ?
