The laptop turns on and boots into Windows no problem but the keyboard and touchpad don't work, if i try to plug in an external keyboard it won't turn on and if it does it won't respond and just freeze while the laptop runs just fine.
the screen works fine.
Its a laptop thats been sitting on the shelf for a while and i recently applied new thermal paste, i don't think it matters but i used too much paste and it overflowed a bit and it got to a few of the capacitors thats sits to the sides of the die, does this matter? i got a bit paranoid that it would damage something but i don't think it would do that kinda stuff.
already tested ram and hard drive and both work, it all happens on BIOS too.
