usb ports not working

Just installed win7.
The usb port is not working.
I have installed the usb driver (3.0 driver).
Even in device manager it shows i have it installed.
i have 2 unknown devices there though.
What should i do?

What are the specs (particularly, model of motherboard if hand-made or of the unit if a brand name pre-built), and is this new or used hardware?
