The cost of a bigger antenna is usually about the same as adding an access point connected via ethernet.

Either way you are stuck with the weakest signal. directional antennas are only good for point-to-point to go long distances.

If you had two sites connected with p2p and both had access points then your wifi would work well at both locations. These are mainly used for outside stuff.
