Used Thinkpad p52s. Worth 1000 as workstation?

Hey everyone,I'm looking to replace my old ideaPad z510 with something I can actually use to work.
I'm having to go mobile for a few months and need some decent laptop to replace my desktop until I can ship it where I am going (and maybe outlive it for a bit, or be a good replacement for a while).
I've been recommended a used Lenovo Thinkpad p52s with the following specs, for 1100 usd

ThinkPad P52s 15.6" 4K

• i7-8650U 8Th Gen
• 32GB RAM
• 1TB SSD
• nVidia P500

Or the following p50 for roughly 880 usd

Again, both are used.
Can I get something better with my budget of about $1000? I have to use it for coding, unity (mostly 2d) and photoshop. I do a lot of digital painting on large canvases, so I wonder if the p500 wouldn't just be too crappy, especially at 4k, considering I hook up a cintiq and probably an extra 1080p monitor.

Not much better than the business class Lenovo laptops, $1,000 range for the workstation models is a good price. Don't really care much at 4k screens on laptops but the $200 savings for the 50 vs 52 is pretty appealing if they still have some warranty on them. Was wondering why they were so cheap then read that they were used. Still good systems.

Thanks! Ok so dropping the 4k monitor it becomes easier to find one with better specs. Assuming I can buy an extra 16gb of ram if I need, and a decent nvme ssd for less than $100, this one looks good:

Outside of not having an SSD which is easy to fix with buying one, specs are fine. Don't know about the used market for those, but you can simply compare to new ones and see if you like the discount you get.
