Gone but they'll be back. Unfortunately there's nothing permanent we can do to get rid of them at present.

The spammers may not be bots. After all, there's very little drugs, porn and viagra being posted and that's what you normally get with bots.

Last night, I was flagging the Spam posts in the News Comments like crazy.

There were so many of them that I was getting a bit silly with the remarks I was making about the Spam itself seeing as it had been a long day for me and I was a bit out of it.

Having been a Moderator in the past on a different forum in the past, one thing I have noticed is 9 times out of 10, when it's a person posting the Spam for some other site such as these Chinese domains, I usually found the Spammer to be posting from India.

The other thing which is possible is who ever is doing this may possibly be renting a Botnet of the type which bypasses the CAPTCHA by using the Audible Help feature of the CAPTCHA to get it right 100% of the time.

This type of Bot can be blocked by disabling the Audible Help feature of the CAPTCHA if it is currently being used.
