Using a USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter in a USB 2.0 port

If i put a USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter in a USB 2.0 port will I be able to hit 300 Mbps or something kinda around there or will it just go to 100mbps or even not work?

It should work OK. USB 2 is 480Mbit so you should be able to get 300Mbit.
