I have a Lenovo all in one PC. it used to work as an external monitor. But for some reason it stopped. It boots properly and working fine with windows os. It's hdmi input is not working now.

So I was searching on how to connect my laptop using usb 3 to hdmi converter. One end of hdmi goes as usual into the laptop and the other end goes into the converter and the usb end of the converter is inserted into blue usb 3 socket of the pc.

I am trying to search such a thing but can't find any reliable ones. Some are infected with virus. I need a cheaper yet decent one which can project my laptop onto the monitor. Please suggest..

Thanks

What model laptop?
What video outputs does it have?

Use regular HDMI-HDMI cable instead.
From laptop HDMI-out port to AIO PC HDMI-in port.

Or DP-to-HDMI cable.
Note - this type of adapter is unidirectional. Works in one direction only (signal source to signal target).
From Laptop DP-out to AIO PC HDMI-in.
