using an pcie to pcie splitter

Hello i want to buy an HD 7970 GHZ edition it has 1x8 and 1x6 pcie power connections but my psu has only 8 pin,what if i use an 8pin to 2x8pin psu splitter will it work? it says it draws lower than 300 watts

ok they didnt answer my question thats all i said what wattage psu shall i take and they replied something other than that i will get full modular 600w psu then with 3 8 pin pcie connectors,its the evga 650 B3 fully modular is it the right choice?
