Using Eyefinity for extended desktop

If I got an ATi 5 series card with Displayport and I used a VGA-DP adaptor one one of the monitors, will I be able to run 3 monitors from this card in extended desktop?
The monitors are different resolutions and I am not interested the 'span' mode because I don't play games very often.

Yup.
As long as one monitor is from DP you can run eyefinity.

Search this site, there were two very good articles regarding eyefinity, what you will need, and how it works etc. I think it was titled "AMD's eyefinity explained" or something to that degree.
