Question Using hard drive from Western Digital Elements external drive ?

Hi there. I have several 3 TB WD Elements external desktop drives and wonder if I can use the hard drives for my NAS.
CrystalDiskInfo says the hard drives inside the casings are all the same type is WD30EZRX-00SPEB0. I read somewhere that some external drive manufacturers modified the hard drives sold for external desktop drives (something about voltage and amps) so that these cannot be re-used as a regular hard drive.
Any insights will be appreciated.

which exact model number of the external wd elements drive is it?
if it´s one of these, should be normal sata
