Using one computer both wireless & hardwired

With my Win 7 desktop configured both hardwire ethernet and with wireless adapter card, are there any problems switching from one to the other? Do I just disconnect ethernet when using wireless? And when using ethernet can I just ignore the wireless?

Yes, the Ethernet connection has a default higher priority so it will be used if connected, if not your wireless will be used.
