Hi
I'm trying to set up a second (PCIE2) NVIDIA card to take place of the display so I can use the first card (PCIE1) for compute. I'm dual booting Ubuntu 18.04 and Win10 using GRUB menu.
My first problem is that the BIOS splash screen and GRUB menu will only show when I have a monitor plugged into the first card (PCIE1) but I want that one to be headless. I cannot swap cards due to air flow reasons.
I tried to alter "bus interface" to PCIE3 instead of PCIE1 in BIOS but to no affect.
Does anyone know how I could go about it? I'm sure drivers have no affect at this stage...is that correct?
My motherboard: ROG zenith extreme
PCIE1: Maxwell Titan X
PCIE3: GTX 1060 Ti (3GB)
