They don't get money for just creating a site, they get money when someone
click on the AD on their site, and goes to the vbs1 purchase site. It is the
nature of PAY TO CLICK , this also creates a relationship between the review
site and the product owner site. This relationship is what is known as a
conflict of interest. It is similar (though not exactly the same) as what
happened in the original OFP days, when operationflashpoint.network site did
a preview of the game. At the time no one (well very few did) knew that the
person who created the preview (and btw , he assigned scores) was in fact
Seventh and was in fact an employee of the company. remember Seventh was one
of the people who created the music for OFP.
if you read your post above, you made the statement "the review was done by
an australian gaming site that has no relations to BIS or VBS1"
I was simply pointing out that this wasn't the case and the relationship
that exists creates a very basic COI.
The fact they may or may not make any money doesn't matter. Do you really
think that they would say that the product is absolute garbage (assuming
they he actually though that) when he has a link on his site that pays him
for people to click it.
