Hi all,
I have just uploaded a D.I.Y. guide for making an accessible Vectrex
controller:
http://www.oneswitch.org.uk/4/DIY/vectrex.htm
This enables disabled gamers to use specialised plug in switches and
sensors to get involved with quality retro gaming.
A 13 year old lad I know was playing Minestorm this weekend using two
head switches. Turning his head to the left activated HYPERSPACE,
turning his head to the right FIREed a shot, with rotate left jammed
on. He loved it, and after a bit of getting used to it, was pulling off
some amazing manoeuvres.
If anyone is in the UK this summer, we'll be demonstrating the
accessible vectrex at CGE-UK 2005, along with some black and white 3D
goggles for 3D Minestorm using plug-in switches:
http://www.cgeuk.com
Cheers!
