I currently have a ryzen 5 3600
B450f motherboard
Corsair pro rgb 16gb ram
aorus geforce® gtx 1060 xtreme edition 6g

a vega 64 strix has come up local to me for £220 would this be a decent upgrade for FPS in games like warzone and stuff. I’ve seen benchmarks and done some research but is it worth me buying then selling my gpu? Thanks

what psu do you have? The 1060 stll sells for a very decent price, frankly ive been shocked, so you could make up some money if your psu can handle it.
I have a Corsair 750watt modular 80 gold standard psu, I also thought the same mine would still sell for a decent price and he has offered me £220 to buy the vega 64 strix, Which would match my motherboard but gpu comparison states +50% compared to my current 1060, I’m just curious if it would be worth it or go for a 5700xt, thanks

Depends on a lot of things, if it were me I would take the vega 64 and sell that 1060, they seem prized, i think due to low power and 6gb of ram.
A lot of things like what? There is a strix vega 64 for 220 or a 2060 super for £230 local also, trying to see benchmarks and compare what would be the best then I’ll sell my 1060

Yeah for sure, but how much money are you spending? If you are willing to spend that much, don't buy an inferior product.
These are from facebook marketplace local to me, the vega 64 rog he said I can have for £220 and will show me it working in his current rig has also sent me videos, The 2060 super is up for £230 and I haven’t got a reply yet but I would also ask to see working

Oh jeeze don't even consider the vega go with the 2060 , it's a pretty good deal. Definitely worth the extra 10.
New the 2060 and 2060 super are pricey even the used market here in canada they are wildly overpriced.
Get the 2060 and don't look back.

By a rough estimate, it will be about 80%->90% faster than the 1060 depending on game. The Vega 64 a little slower than a 1080.

That said, that is an really good price. A new 5700XT is about 10 to 20% faster and 350->400 quid (You poor Brits and Europeans always get raked on price.)

But I've always been leery of used graphics cards. Some of them were mined to @#$%@EFD@ and worn out. Miners have a tendency to dump these cards at cheap prices when they start to show signs of silicon decay. (Having to back off clocks) Vega 64 was a favorite mining card for etherium a long time

Thanks for the info, Unfortunately the 2060 he hasn’t got back to me, Almost looks like an odd account on market place.. So should I not get the strix vega then? He’s said I can have it for £200 now.. He’s sent me videos of it playing Cold War and stuff telling me the reason for sale is because he’s just brought a new monitor and this gpu doesn’t have g sync.. is it worth jumping from my 1060 to this vega bare in mind I can sell my gpu after for something. Thanks guys
