GPU: Gigabyte Vision RTX 3080

Hi everybody, I have a question regarding a vertical GPU mount. So yesterday I bought the Phanteks vertical GPU mount kit and I was very excited to mount it only to find out the graphics card wasn't outputting any video and the system would not boot and make a GPU error sound. I thought the riser might've been damaged but I tried it with another system and GPU and it works just fine. Then I thought maybe the GPU is too powerful for it but there are people with 3090s using it so that could not be the problem. Do you have any ideas on how to fix the problem? I'm am afraid of breaking my GPU because I know faulty risers can break them

Got a link to the GPU mount kit/riser cable? If your cable is PCIe gen 3, you will need to grab a Gen 3.0 GPU and then set the PCIe speed to Gen 3 to be able to use the riser cable, provided the cable is Gen3. Have you tried dropping in the discrete GPU onto the motherboard's first PCIe slot and seeing if that works?

Make and model of your PSU?
