I have bought and install several games, and from the beginning Ive noticed that there is a big difference between the benchmarks that you see everywhere online and the results I am getting from my system.
I am using an EVGA 600watts PSU, rated 80+.
The only thing I am troubled is about my choice of RAM, and that it is operating now at 1066mhz. Could that be the reason why I am getting about half the expected performance of my PC?? Some of my benchmarks are>
Battlefield 1.
1440p.
Ultra settings.
No Vsync.
50fps.
Rise of the Tomb Raider
1440p.
Very high settings.
no vsync.
47fps.
In both scenarios the GPU runs at 99% but very cool at around 55C and even lower. I do have the latest nvidia drivers and Windows 10 x64. The CPU is not even sweating, not even in Battlefield 1, which is supposed to be a CPU killer.
I am also getting a lot of screen tearing.
Another thing that is not functioning optimally is the HDD. Last night I was doing some measurements and I was only getting 24MBps writes and a 70MBps reads.
Could this be causing the problem??
The only game that is performing quite well in 1440p is Fallout 4. Yesterday my brother brought it to test the system and he was getting above 110fps in 1440p and ultra settings.
