Hello,

I tested my PC since I noticed the CPU fan is running on maximum speed more often; ( I recently replaced my power supply),

but I was surprised when the results mentioned: Very high background CPU (100%). High background CPU reduces benchmark accuracy

even though the task manager- Processes tap shows that I'm utilizing less than 2% of my CPU (check the attached photo)

can you please help me solve this ?

13% cpu usage just for Edge is a bit high, perhaps a video was playing or something...?

Perhaps the benchmark merely gives an advisory for high cpu usage, but, with a GTX1080, I'd expect high cpu usage, as your cpu feeds it everything it can process during the GPU-involved portions of the benchmark...

Unless you are having issues with games stuttering, well, I'd simply quote Leslie Nielsen from Naked Gun....

1. The link is now fixed, thank you
2. I downloaded malwarebytes anti malware and used it, but nothing was found

issue remains the same unfortunately 🙁

are you trying to fix high cpu usage during actual games? Or just what 'Userbenchmark' is complaining about in it's summary? (I'd not worry about that much, specifically)

Do do you have high cpu usage even on desktop mode with no browser open.....?(Chrome open to Toms Hardware should only show 1-2% usage....)

A Defender scan bounces cpu usage between 13-17%, for reference....

this is what I'm worried about; but after reading your replay I think that I shouldn't be worried
do you mean that the "Very high background CPU (100%)" statement by 'Userbenchmark' isn't accurate ??
