Very long SLI Bridge if possible

Hey everyone,

Just registered on the site after browsing on it for years. Finally have my own question that I need some help with.

I'm making a custom desk for my PC to go into. I'm planning on having my motherboard in the middle/top area and then both my graphics cards on either side of it.

I'm going to be getting some pcie extenders for them both so I can run them to the motherboard, but I have no way of connecting them together with an SLI bridge, the longest one I've seen is about 10cm which isn't really enough.

Is there anywhere or anyone out there who could make a custom length one?

Cheers!

The longer the bridge, the bigged the delay of the communication between the two cards would be, that's why they don't make longer bridges.

Your money would be better spent just getting the best card you can afford that isn't a complete ripoff (i.e. 1080 and not titan xp)
longest I've seen is 15cm. Now I have a question though, to use 2x 15cm bridges together could you break off the sli tabs from an old vid card and solder them together to link the 2 cables in the middle, I've seen custom made but not necessarily working cables that were longer but the issue is soldering that ribbon cable, it melts like most things under a hot soldering iron.

It's definitely worth looking into that, thanks for the suggestion! I wouldn't trust my own soldering skills for that delicate ribbon, but I will absolutely ask around to see if it's possible
