Hi all
I just recently changed monitors. My first monitor has a DVI connector and it a decent boot up time of just under 30 seconds with a hybrid hardrive. However, I was given two separate monitors for work. They work on my laptop ok without any issues. But, I noticed even if I just plug in my PC into either monitors into the HDMI or Displayport, theres a huge delay of just under 3 minutes.
Not sure what is causing this? All my setting in my bios are fairly good and I have fast boot enabled. Just sounds weird it would take soo long to now load with a digital cable?
The slow boot up happens just after the bios. So once it goes past the bios screen, theres a black screen. And then after those 3 minutes, it goes into the Windows login screen.
Any suggestions? Even updated the graphics card drivers, update the drivers on the motherboard bios, update the drivers on the motherboard chipset. The bios on the graphics card doesnt seem that it needs any updates on it.
Heres my rig setup;
Windows 10 - 64bit
Asus ROG Strix Z370-F Gaming Intel Z370 (Socket 1151)
Intel Core i7-8700K
Gigabyte GTX 1080 TURBO OC
Seagate ST2000DX002 Firecuda 2TB
Corsair HX850 850
