I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out my problem.
I have fibre broadband and upto day before yesterday, I was getting download speeds of 32mbps, uploads of 10mbps and a ping of 26ms. Got up yesterday and noticed that the speed wasn't rigth so did another test and found that my download was 1.8mbps but yet my upload and ping were the same as before. I am getting the same results on a tower, laptop, 4 phones and a tablet.
I turned off all devices whilst testing each change as well as tried it through both the wifi and switched off the wifi and tested through the eithernet cable but still the same results.
I have rebooted and did a factory restore on the router. I have changed the cable and filter but no luck.
I have tried the speed checker on different host settings, still the same.
I have spoken to our service provider and they say there is no issue with either our account nor a problem in the area. I have unlimited download with no caps.
When the service provider tested our line, they found that we were getting speeds of 35mbps to our door and they couldn't figure it out. They said there wasn't any faults or degrigation that they could see.
I have gone into the routers settings and switched off the wps as well as rebooted the that screen but still getting the same speed.
I've got an engineer coming out mid week but I need to download several large files by tomorrow morning.
Anyone have any ideas?

I kniw it can't bey computer as every device in the hose is showing me the same speeds. Only problem now is that I am down to a 1.8mbps download yet upload is still 9/10mbps and ping is ranging from 15-26 ms.

yo m8 thats my post lol
not solved

who's your provider ? BT, SKY etc.?

Sky but thankfully they have phoned first thing this morning to say that they found a fault in the area and have fixed it. I've now got speeds of 32mbps again. Yeah. I am quite pleased with that speed as we were told we would get speeds upto 28mbps and the 32mbps that we are getting is off of a 10 meter extention cable! Just glad it wasn't me as I couldn't figure it out at all. It made no sense other than possibly it being the router.
