VGA Adapters

Hey Folks,

I have two monitors, both with VGA outputs.

I would like to plug them both into my new GTC 680, which comes with:

1x DVI+I (Dual Link)
1x DVI+D (Dual Link)
1x HDMI
1x DisplayPort

DVI+I is easy - acquiring a VGA-to-DVI+I converter is straight forward. In fact, I already had one.

However, no amount of goggling or wot-not is showing me how I can convert VGA to DVI+D, or VGA to HDMI, or VGA to DisplayPort. After spending some time googling I can convert HDMI to DVI, HDMI to displayport, AC to DC, dollars to pounds, water to ice, and fission to mass energy.

How do you plug a second VGA monitor into this card?

I'm in the UK, if that helps. (Isn't PC World the most useless PC shop ever?).

Thanks for the try but no.

The first one isn't VGA-to-anything; the second one isn't DVI-D dual link.

I'm sorry to say this, but even if you get the adapters to change the connector type, you won't get video on both of your monitors: GTX 680 supports only one VGA monitor at a time.

Either you need to use a different connection for the second monitor, get another monitor or get an active signal converter (which is hard to find).

Problem solved: one of my monitors supports an HDMI input, so I've bought an HDMI cable.
