I'm building my first computer, and upon trying to start it for the first time, the VGA led light is a solid red and it won't start.

Motherboard is P8Z77-V
Graphics is GEFORCE GTX 770
Processor is i7-3770k LGA1155
Case is AZZA Toledo 30i
RAM is Corsair Vengeance 16 GB (4x4)

I've also noticed that there is no PLED to go with the case, and there is a pin containing "+5V, DATA -, DATA +, GND) and the motherboard manual designated no slot for it so I'm not sure where it goes, so that could be the issue as well.

Also, when I start up, the DRAM_LED light flashes for a second and goes away.

Any help is really greatly appreciated, thank you for your time

the mb lable 1805 shows that it few bios rev below the last bios file. download bios file 210x and download the bios renamer tool under bios tools. unzip both to the same folder and run the bios renamer it shorten the file to xxxx.cap
copy this file to a usb stick and put it in the usb flashback port and press the flashback button. the bios will update itself.
when done see if the mb will post.

if the error still there check the seating of the cpu and check for bent pins under the cpu. if you used an after market cooler check that it not crushing the cpu or shorting the mb out.

I can't even get into bios or get a display on the screen. I took the GPU and RAM and the VGA light went away and just the DRAM led light is lit up, now. So it's not a motherboard issue

The problem seems to be with the graphics card? the CPU then the DRAM led both blink and then the VGA led stays lit, meaning something's wrong with the graphics card. i've checked the seating, tried VGA and DVI to the motherboard, HDMI cable to the motherboard and the GPU, CMOS, MemOk button holding, removing the graphics card and trying, and i can't seem to figure out how to fix it

So what was the solution? Def the graphic card right?

I just went through hell delidding my 7700k and thought I fucked it up, was getting vga light just like you, and ended up relidding 3 times. Worst part is my cpu cooler has 2 screws blocked on the back of the motherboard so I have to basicaly rebuild my comp every time. 3rd time I booted without gfx card and holy shit it's working. Ended up the brand new gfx card from evga step up was bad. Got it to boot while in 2nd pci slot, but no display. Teamviewer into comp and noticed 1080ti says "Windows has stopped this device because it reports problems" thought maybe ddu was needed, even though 1080ti gigabyte was previous temporary card until evga step up came in. But the thing is, it wouldn't even boot into bios while the evga card was in the first pci slot. So in the end, I hope I help someone with all this info, but being stuck on that vga light more than likely has to do with gfx card rather than cpu or cpu seating. So check that first
