Question VGA Light On Everything Seems to Be Working Though?

Hello,

This is my first time building a PC. Everything looks right, but the VGA red light is on my motherboard. I don't have any other computers I can test these parts with or switch them out with (using a work computer to write this).

Looking online, I see this happens frequently with my motherboard, but I'm not experienced enough to know what some of the suggested solutions are. Plus lots of trouble shooting involved the computer already having Windows/internet, and mine does not. It seems it could be anything from the monitor being too slow to wake up (no big deal) to having a faulty GPU (panic inducing since I had to buy this one piece at a time to afford everything, and I'm way past the return window for lots of parts, including the GPU).

I have not installed Windows yet. When I power up the tower, all the fans start spinning, the GPU lights up, etc . . . The monitor will show a screen asking for a bitlocker (which I don't have) or pressing Y to get to the BIOs (not exact words, but that's what happens). The BIOs loads and has recognized my CPU, RAM, and SSD. I don't know where to check to see if it has found the GPU or not.

I need help with four things.

1 One, where can I look to see if my Motherboard is recognizing my GPU?
2 My BIOS doesn't list anything under Boot Sequence, should it (it finds the SSD elsewhere, but should it be listed here?)?
3 Why is the VGA light on?
4 Can anyone at least assure me that because the GPU is lighting up and fans are spinning that it's not a faulty GPU? That would significantly lower my stress over this, but be honest if this is a likely or even somewhat possibility.

Here's the build.

Motherboard: Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX ATX AM5
CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X
GPU: XFX Speedster MERC 310 Black Edition Raedeon RX 7900 XT
Ram: G.Skill Flare X5, 32 GB
SSD: Crucial P5 2TB
Power Supply: Corsair RM 1000e 100 W 80+ Gold

Verify that I found the applicable motherboard manual.

Referencing the manual are you able to identify the VGA light?

What is the actual RAM configuration 2 x 16 GB?

My thought is that something is not fully connected. No one wants to force anything especially with a new build. So what feels or appears to be in place or fully connected is not.

My suggestions:

1) Read through the User Manual to double check that all connections are correct and that any associated configurations are likewise correct. Pay attention to all fine print, caveats, and do go online to check for updates. Do the same for the install guides and any other component documentation.

2) Power down, unplug, open the case.

Verify by sight and feel that all connectors, cards, RAM, jumpers, and case connectors are fully and firmly in place. Pay close attention to case connectors - they can easily be misconnected.

Leave the CPU alone for now.

However, as an extra measure carefully unplug and replug (or unseat and reseat as appliable) everything a few times. Check that there are no bent pins, debris in slots, cracked connectors and so forth.

What may happen is that suddenly something goes into place much more smoothly and feels even more secure.

Take your time, no need to rush. Anything that does not seem or feel right simply stop and investigate further.

Clean work area, good lighting, proper tools are a must. Use the manual as a "checklist" and keep notes as you go along.

Thank you so much for trying to help. This dumb light is stressing me out.

Yes, that's the right motherboard.

I used a flashlight, and it's definitely the VGA light. And yes, the RAM is x2 16 GB. They're in the A2 and B2 slots.

I went through all the PSU and motherboard connections. Everything's correct, and I pushed down a bit, but nothing wasn't already snug. Same with the RAM. The BIOS is recognizing all of that anyways.

I also uninstalled and reinstalled the GPU, and the light is still there. It's still lighting up and fans are spinning.

I haven't been able to check for updates for all of the software. I don't think I'll be able to until I get Windows installed, and I won't have access to a Windows computer until this weekend, where I'll try to download it to my USB. I'm going to feel silly and relieved if just downloading drives and updates fixes it.

I haven't used the 4-pin for the CPU since I don't plan to overclock at all. But it's not the CPU light that's on, but the VGA, so I doubt that's the issue?

There's also a little switch on the GPU. Everyone online said that was about fan speed. I know my CPU isn't bottlenecking the GPU and that the two I picked are pretty commonly paired up, so I doubt I need to put the fans into turbo mode, especially since it's not even doing anything right now.

I really appreciate you trying to help though. I think if I can just get Windows on it and running, I'll relax knowing that the light isn't some catastrophic issue.
