(This could also work in the Graphics Card section.)
Hi. I recently upgraded my GT730 graphics card to a GTX 1050 ti. My GT730 (https://images10.newegg.com/ProductImage/14-127-906-01.jpg) had slots for DVI, HDMI, and VGA. My new graphics card (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MEFABEL?th=1) has slots for HDMI, and DVI. However, the back of my computer has a slot for VGA (which isn't connected to my graphics card), but when i plug something into it, my screen isn't recognized. Why?

Solution
Your PC has integrated graphics. Generally, when you install a GPU, the BIOS detects the GPU and turns off the integrated graphics on the motherboard. That's most likely why you're not getting a signal from the VGA port. Note that the GPU and the internal GPU are not connected. If your monitor only has a VGA port, you'll need an DVI to VGA adaptor. Connect a DVI cable to the GPU, connect the adaptor to the cable and the adaptor to the monitor.
Because once you put in a GPU, it locks the on-board controls. The reason it worked before, is because you put the VGA cable into the slot with the GT730. I would recommend getting an HDMI2VGA cable or adapter.

Some BIOS allows you to enable and disable, but not all.
