I'm running WinME and recently upgraded my motherboard to an ABIT KG7-RAID. I installed the latest BIOS 10/22/2001 for the KG7 along with AMD 761 drivers v4.80 (10/5/2000).
The kicker, I was doing a fps test in Ghost Recon in 1280 X 1024 32 bit (detail up except shadows) and I was getting about 38 fps on average.
So, I install the VIA 4 into 1 drivers for the VT82C686 version 4.36. Reboot. Go back to Ghost Recon and my fps has now dropped from 38 to 23!!! Rest of my system is running fine along with my games and Return to Castle Wolfenstein is VERY smooth. Anyone run into this problem?
Rob.
