Video card issue

Hello i've got this specs:I5 3470s, Gigabyte gtx 1060 t1 gaming, 12 gb of ram and msi h61 e23 b3 as the motherboard. I think the video card is not working at the full capacity. The processor/motherboard affects the video card and slows the pc?

What games are you taxing the system with? What resolution are you gaming at? You also failed to mention the make and model as well as the age of your PSU.
