Hello!
First, I will start with my old PC specs (it has 6 years already :D):
AMD Sempron 2800+ - 1.61 GHz
768MB RAM
Geforce 6200
Windows XP SP3
I encounter a problem after installing an video driver: After the "Welcome" message, the computer will immediately crash, sometimes even on that screen. I had the problem last year too, but it was caused by the middle RAM slot, so I removed that one, and the problem was fixed. Now, even if that slot is empty, the problem is still here. It all started one week ago, all of a sudden it crashed just like the old times...I completely cleaned my PC from dust, trying to remove the others RAM memories (one has 512MB and the second on has 256MB; the one from the middle slot had 256MB too) one by one, the problem was still here.
The strange thing that happened was that once, only using the 512MB RAM, the driver worked for 15/20 minutes, after that, it crashed again.
I don't know what is causing the crash, so I must use my PC without an driver installed, so it works a little slow, can't really watch movies, can't do too many things.
Oh, about the video driver, it's the last version downloaded from Nvidia, but old versions are not working either.

Also, please don't say something like: buy new PC, blabla. I'm already raising money for it, but at the moment I don't have enough.

Thank you for reading my post. I hope that someone can help me.

Sorry for the double post, but I want to add that the first thing I did after uninstalling the driver after the first crash was installing it again. However, it didn't work, so I downloaded the 296.10 version. It didn't work either.
Today I tried reinstalling the last version again, but encountered a crash...

Any ideas?
Thanks!

Well, the power supply has been changed three years ago to a 400W one.

Windows has been reinstalled three weeks ago. No, I didn't run a Windows repair. I just run a memtest until 121% and I got two errors:
First:
Memory error detected! Copying between 3d4daaa and 3d4d91d did not result in accurate copy.

Memtest has detected that your computer cannot accurately store data in RAM.
You need to fix this.

See the online FAQ, question # 2 (http://HciDesign.com/memtest) for advice on what to do next.

Second:
Memory error detected! Copying between 3d4daaa and 3d4da63 did not result in accurate copy.

Memtest has detected that your computer cannot accurately store data in RAM.
You need to fix this.

See the online FAQ, question # 2 (http://HciDesign.com/memtest) for advice on what to do next.

Can you or anyone else recommend me to do something? Thanks!

Thank you for suggesting me. I was thinking about this too, but had no time. Indeed, both RAMs were inserted. Thanks! I'll come back with an reply later or tomorrow.

Guess what? I just ran a memtest one by one on RAMs, but none of them gave me an error. The tests were made until 121%, just like the first one?
Can someone tell me why it is giving me two errors when both of the memories are inserted, but none if it's only one?
