What should I be looking for in a video editing PC? I'm planning on making a PC for my girlfriend who is planning on making it a hobby of hers. My budget is around $1000-1500 I could put in more if it is necessary.

Agreed, Vegas Pro is pretty good, but if she is accustomed to Adobe software then there is no pleasing an Adobe user without Adobe software.

Surely this is something you can find out with just a little snooping around.
