CPU is going...time to upgrade
Replacing FX8350/mobo/ram/cpu water block (custom cooling)
Keeping corsair 540 air, 2x500gb ssd, 3x3tb hhd, psu, gtx 770, 360mm rad, 240mm rad, d5 vario pump w/ photon res.

So need most things.
Decided on
-I7-5930k
-4x8gb corsair dominator platinum ddr4 2666 ram

Unsure on motherboard
-Thinking/liking Asus x99 deluxe w/3.1, but also like the rampage extreme
Might go either way

Throwing this out there, I'm open to suggestions.

Video edit and multiple vm's constantly. Game a bit but my 770 plays on my 1080p just fine, my 4k is for video editing and don't need to game on it. Chose CPU as its good 6 core, for $100 more now I'd rather not deal with fewer lanes later if/when that would become an issue. I've always had AMD boards and always liked them. Same with the ram.

A motherboard to me is huge, its all about feature set and connection abilities. Onboard audio and raid controller would be sweet. Price to the most extent isn't an option. More sata, pcie, usb 3.1 is a must (my p50 and 17r3 have it, will be utilizing it fully soon).

Don't need a gpu, my 770 and 1080p is fine for me for gaming.

PSU is good, upgraded it when I added my 2nd rad maybe 18 months ago.

Well, pulled the trigger on 5920k, was going to go 5930k route, but all I've read the extra lanes is really ideal for multi gpu's and I only ever plan on having one. Also went with the Asus deluxe board, corsair dominator pro 4x8gb 3000mhz ram, had to get a xspc raystorm pro 2011 cpu block as well as mine is amd now, grabbed new 120/140mm fan's, Evga supersonic 1050w platinum psu. Theres also a mixture of extra watercooling parts to have on hand while swapping things out if the current ones are found to be bad in any reguard.
