[citation][nom]kronos_cornelius[/nom]I also love my Captivate, in my case Vibrant (same thing), however, I see this tables as doing the same thing. I even read in another article that it will have the same resolution as the phone. So, it is nice to see the industry trying to capture some niche market, but I still don't see these devices as destined to grab much market share. The phones are just as useful and more portable, give the screen size, they must also have longer battery life.[/citation]
I'm planning on a special packaged software for small retail businesses with these tablets. the server just runs a virtual machine with a web based accounting and payroll system, and then have an android app that interacts with the camera to do inventory and point of sales instead of using a bar code reader. Get a full package together for $35k: server, 2 pc terminals, 4 tablets, and all the software. It should be a very good full solution for small businesses. It's also easy to set up, support, and expand. At least in theory. I'm still working on it.
tablets have a lot of potential uses that aren't readily visible right now. We'll find more uses for them as time goes by.
