Hi, I am thinking about getting the v7700 Deluxe in order to use the Video Input on the card to use my computer to watch TV from my VCR - is this possible? Can the v7700 Deluxe run video from my VCR to the computer in full screen for viewing like a TV?

What are some other good solutions with ok 3D (i don't need THE BEST) and the ability to view video like a TV? I considered the ATI A-I-W Radeon but i really don't need the extra expense of the built-in tuner b/c my VCR has one, you see?

Bottom Line: Most importantly, I want high quality 2D along with decent 3D performance, DVD support, and the ability to turn my computer into a TV! And i would REALLY appreciate your help!

- thanks again

I just got my V7700 deluxe last week. I haven't used the video in option yet, but it should work fine with the VCR input. I used video out to my TV and that was great. The card itself works great though. The software package is super and the performance is great too. I have mine OCed as far as the Asus utility will go and it is all good. Got it for a good price too. Only $223 for GF2 w/ video in/out. Not bad

cool, will the Video In image from my VCR be able to run full screen for viewing like a TV? Can it run in a window too so i can do other things at the same time? Thanks for your help! And where did you find it for that low price? thanks.

I got mine from www.computerhq.com which I found on pricewatch. It was sweet, retail boxed version too. I haven't used that software yet, so I don't know if it will run full screen or not. I would assume that it will definately do windowed stuff. If it doesn't, there may be 3rd party software you could get that would do it. I like the card a lot, especially for the money.
