I haven't owned an Nvidia card in years and just picked one up for a new system build.

Asus M5A99X
FX-8320
8gb G.Skill Ripjaws X
Gigabyte GTX 660
(old monitor) Viewsonic VX2435wm (connected via DVI-I to HDMI cable (it's that or analog))

The first 24 hours of my system build everything was fine running Windows 7's default VGA drivers.

Installed Geforce drivers (v335.23) and now when Windows says 'turn off the display', the monitor chirps through the speakers and turns blue with "No Signal".
When I shutdown windows, same blue screen and "No Signal".

Reinstall Windows default drivers and standby/off works fine again.
Old AMD card always worked fine.

Nvidia, apparently has no technical support for their drivers except 'ask the community' which appears useless.

Please, anyone, give me a reason to keep this card. I'm thisclose to never buying Nvidia again.

Tested HDMI to HDMI with no difference.

I did disabled audio to crappy the monitor speakers. No difference. Even chirping when going to blue screen.
