I seem to have a stuck pixel on my screen. Every time that portion of the screen supposed to be black it shows white, and visa versa. It is almost like that pixel is showing some other part of the screen.

Is there any software that can make it unstuck. :)

Thanks for your help.

Well it is not dead it works. It just shows something different than the rest of the pixels beside it. It is like that pixel does not belong there or something.

Maybe it's not white, but grey, which is why it looks black on a white background? Maybe try using photoshop or something to fill an image with black and then play with contrast/brightness until the pixel "disappears"... then you know exactly what colour it is. I have a dead pixel that's perfectly cyan, which tells me the red element in that pixel is dead.

If i have a black background than it is white. Then i open something in a window mode and i drag that window around my screen and it is keeps on changing its color depending on the location of the window on the screen.

Like i said exactly like that one pixel showing some other part of the display not where it is located. If i have a full screen white page than that pixel disappears.

Bizarre! It's always been like that?

Yup. Since day one. I was waiting for it to go away but it never did. I mean it is not extremely annoying but you can notice it on the black background.

I have checked the return policy and in that area where it is 1 dead/stuck pixel is acceptable. I mean overall it is an awesome display but i just thought maybe there's a quick easy way to fix it.

It is not big enough problem to make me send my display away for repairs or RMA or whatever.

Repair a screen using the JScreenFix applet

The JScreenFix Java applet helps fix stuck pixels on LCD screens and remove burn-in from plasma screens by randomly switching on and off red, green and blue colour cells very rapidly. The applet runs safely inside your web browser, does not require installation and works with Windows, Linux and Mac computers.
