Visiontek G-force 2 ultra or Creative Labs G-force

Visiontek G-force 2 ultra or Creative Labs G-force 2 ultra? I can't make up my mind. Are they both about the same price? Why would one be better then the other? Is it just a matter of what manufacturer I want to go with and get the same results out of the card? Please help me find a GOOD G-Force 2 64mb DDR Ultra. What about asus or another brand.. just want the best. By the way, it's going on a Abit KT7-RAID w/1 gig t-bird...

Well the GF2 cards are pretty much the same. The only differences maybe driver support, memory speed, and reputation. I would never buy Visiontek, just because I have seen what problems could result from saving a few pennies on a fairly generic video card. Some people tend to like them and say they are just as good. My friend got one, and it seems to work fine. He is having some driver trouble, but thats it. I have always put my money into Guillemot/Hercules, or Asus products. I had a Guillemot TNT2, Asus TNT, and now Asus V7700 GF2 GTS. All have been great cards for me.

I got the Creative Labs Anihilator Ultra. I love it.

The only reason I went with CL was because I read that they had a hand in the developement with Nvidia. Therefore I assume that they really know the card.

Agreed all geforces do perform alike.

Have you heard of the Guillemot GF2 Pro? 5ns mem (GF2 6 ns / ultra 4 ns) Same processor as GF2 but we all know its the memory bandwidth that is the prob. I personally believe its a much better value.
