Vista in Vmware

Hello,
I am running windows vista in vmware and am being asked for a windows password which i never created. Now I can't get in Windows. Help!

1) Try pressing enter without entering anything

2) If doesn't work, then Try going into safe mode (Press F8 before the green bar appears while booting repeatedly and select 'Safe Mode'), then click 'Administrator'. Find your account and remove the password. (I don't know whether or not Administrator will appear)

3) If it doesn't work, then try reinstalling the os from scratch
