LoL masterdebator sorry, the wierd caps on ur name messed with my eye. And I am going with Rich's case because it looks sweet and has slide out trays!

Even the power supply is tool free installation.
You can assemble board and add in cards on motherboard tray outside of case, then slide it all in through the back to install, then hook up cables and power.
You remove hard drive cage and install hard drives and slide it in.
And the covers for the drive bays are black aluminum also, instead of cheap plastic.

$40 PSU (after rebate of course) a darn good 600w non modular cable powersource.

Ultra X-Finity 600W

Must purchace before the 31st. PS it is a high quality PSU on the order of the above mentioned PSUs.

edit: It is not modular cabled like the X-connect model

If you want a modular wire PSU

the Ultra X-Connect 500W ATX is also available with the rebate and under tests performed just as well. It costs $20 more but modular cables is priceless in a modded system.

I have not used an Ultra, but have seen some complaints in this forum regarding them.

I have an Ultra X-Connect 500W ATX, and its much better than my Antec trupower 480 it had to replace. The former just couldn't deliver the juice and the modular cables look so good. PS I've had an Erenmax die on me as well so brand isn't everything. Most reviews I've read give the PSU praise, except it could be a bit more efficent. You'd be hard pressed to find a product out there that someone hasn't complained about. In the end its up to the buyer to read the reviews and make their choice.

The X-Connect 500W's wattage rating max draw - not continuous draw. I believe that all of the Ultra PSUs are rated on max draw. The two previous PSUs (FSP and Enermax) are rated at continuous wattage draw, are more efficient and will be more reliable.

Go with the DFI LanParty Ultra-D it is worth the extra few dollars over the Epox mobo. Most people right now are asking themselves "Why is Starfishy recomending the more expensive mobo? Isn't he a cheap ass?". And they are right... normally I am a cheap ass, but all of us would rather have the DFI over the Epox and this guy obviously has some bling to spend on this rig so hey... go for it!!

That is what I like to hear, starryfish! 😉 It ain't about the moolah, all about the ride.

ASUS A8V-E Deluxe Socket 939 VIA K8T890 ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail

I was considering this... but should I go for DFI

you should be slaped for recommending that piece of crap, i will say this one more time, fortron blue storm, ocz powerstream 520w, or if you want best of the best ,pc power and cooling 510w delux. kapeesh? no wimpy ol' power supplies that under volt and cause fires here

gforce mx100/200 @ 230/440 =]

Stay with an nForce4 chipset. The DFI is the OCers wet dream and a great board...nuff said!

The PSU is by far not a POS, although I never said it was as highly rated as some others. However, it is by far adequate enough for the system he is building and has the nice modular cables. I’ve seen a few of these running High end CPUs and 6800 in SLI without a hiccup.

Its ok to criticize but did you say start a fire? LOL. Not going to happen please cut out the FUD (Fear Uncertainty and Doubt).

Dichromatic for your viewing plesure...

okay, the chances of a fire is low... but those modular connectors does make it a feasible threat. SLI really doesn't take that much out of a PSU, i'm sure it'll support it, however, the true tests of a PSU comes when there is

1) high temps
2) extreme overclocks

why? say your on extreme water cooling or phase cooling. and you up the vcore and vdimm a crap load. now, for your powersupply to not only keep up with the extra power, but hold the voltage steady is way beyond of what that PSU is capable of. so, in terms of those things, yeah its pretty much useless... but if you don't OC, you might get away with it.

did i mention 500w is like peak or something.. only can support it for a few seconds, plus, efficiency goes down a lot as temperature goes up.

gforce mx100/200 @ 230/440 =]

By their own site they claim continuos 500w rating. However, I know it is not that high as tom’s noticed a drop off in voltage at full power. It is however good enough for overclocking as mine has held stable. I only have a Winchester 3500+ and a 6800gt so my power requirements are not that high, but it by far delivers better power than that Antec Truepower 480 I had in the system before. If you ever make it to a lan party you will see more than a few of these because of the modular cable design that is very friendly to case modding.

If your overclocking your P4 rig, and your PSU catches on fire, it just might cool your rig down anyway. Fire is cooler the molten. Is that bad?!?

ALL!!!! Yeah you would never see them in the watercooled area of http://www.ocforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=71. Do a search. You will find more than a few riggs with it. Most with good over clocks too. It’s a tradeoff, good looks for some performance. You could say that that case is not the best for overclocking. Or you’re never going to be able to fit a good watercooling setup in there. Sure the anal of the world will declare all shite except for what they believe necessary.
