I am having an audio sync issue when wayching videos. And I am having a problem uninstalling my current Realtek driver so I can update the sound driver. I was told to use Wagnard`s DDU to remove it. I have used the DDU a couple of times for deleting all traces of my GPU drivers, but not for sound drivers. Is there a setting or check box in the DDU for using it for sound drivers? Or does it remove both GPU and sound drivers at the same time?
When I used it for GPU drivers, it never said anything about sound drivers. How does it work for removing Realtek drivers?

There are still other options to try.

You may be able to uninstall/delete the driver via the Command Prompt, PowerShell, or a Windows Utility.

For example:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/devtest/pnputil-command-syntax

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/60638900/uninstall-device-from-powershell

The key to that is that you are familiar with working with the Command Prompt and PowerShell, And that you have specifically identified the audio driver to be uninstalled.

The "Get" cmdlets are safe as they only find information and do not make any changes. For driver information you can use:

"Get-WindowsDriver -Online -All' in PowerShell with admin rights.

You should be able to go into Device Manager, find the audio device, right click it, and uninstall via "Uninstall device".

If you cannot find/see the device, then click the View tab and check "Show hidden devices".

I did that. 4 times, and it will not uninstall. I also tried deleting my current driver from the control panel and from the apps. It just will not delete.

Note - can be a long list.....

If necessary find a knowledgeable family member or friend to help.

And, as always, ensure that the system is completely backed up with the backups verified to be recoverable and readable.
