Waiting for PCI Express

Right now there are no AMD motherboards with PCI-Express. Is
PCI-Express worth waiting for? Are we looking at the last generation
of AGP? Will buying an AGP motherboard preclude graphic card upgrades
in the near future?

I don't personally think we'll see PCIe motherboards en
masse before next year. Bleeding edge folks might want
to buy one in the next 6 months, but I doubt I'd buy one
sooner then 18-24 months from now. They'll still be
making AGP cards into 2007-2008.

Heck, they still make PCI video cards... although
they're not the fastest or the latest. I expect AGP to
be the same way, vidcard manufs will make them for both
busses until they start selling more PCIe cards then AGP
cards.
