wake on LAN

how do i enable wake on LAN so i can wake a computer from suspend when
another computer from my network tries to access the computer.

Keevo,
The easiest way is to follow the instructions under the help topics that
came with windows xp. You have to be logged on as an aministrator to complete
the process. Just type in "wake on LAN" and you will have the instructions.
You will have to access the setup feature on your LAN card thru the device
manager. Look for the power management tab once you right click for
properties on the network card.

Sorry that Miss Tick..does not understand that this does affect the printing
feature on a local network by other computers on the network, if the computer
that the printer is connected to is in standby and/or suspend.

1) This group is for issues with printing and/or faxing.
2) Wake on LAN has nothing whatsoever to do with the operating system -
it's a function of the system BIOS. If you don't know how to access the
BIOS, RTFM.
